Amaranthus 'Dreadlocks'
Perfect as Everlastings as well as fresh-cut flowers!
'Dreadlocks' is an upright plant about 3 feet tall and up to 18 inches wide. Its flowerstems point straight down, however, reaching 3 feet to brush the garden floor. All along the stems, closely spaced, are borne magenta blooms in big, tight, rounded 1 1/2-inch clusters. No plant has ever been more aptly named, for these long, elegant flowering stems really do look just like dreadlocks!
Amaranthus is a sun-loving annual that is easy to grow and very long-blooming. Its unique architectural look makes a fine focal point for annual beds, and its bright blooms keep their color well. Pkt is 50 seeds.
