3-inch wide yellow blooms grow exceptionally upright, with long spurs trailing behind.

Rabbits avoid it, but butterflies love it!
Part of the "Songbird" Series, these showy hybrids were bred for a compact habit and excellent bloom form. The big, impressive flowers span 3 inches wide, trailing long spurs on bright yellow blooms that dazzle in the sunny border, container, or cottage-themed garden. And unlike other Columbines, these blooms grow perky and upturned rather than nodding down to the floor.

This versatile flower is great for cutting, small enough for the patio container, and will naturalize to create gorgeous drifts in woodland areas or cottage-themed gardens. It is compact enough for containers, and can be forced if you want it to bloom early.

Grow 'Goldfinch' in a well-drained, mostly-sunny area (a bit of shade will extend the bloom time). Rabbits leave it alone, while butterflies and hummingbirds flock to its charming blooms! Zones 3 to 9.
