Magnificent, full, snowy-white blooms are tipped with luscious lavender on this distinctive, award-winning China Aster! These elegant blooms are 2 1/2 inches across, every inch stuffed with petals in a whorled arrangement around a big, attention-grabbing golden-brown center. They arise in mass on strong, well-branched plants that reach 30 inches tall.
A superb cut flower, 'Opus' is also a good neighbor in the garden, enhancing surrounding colors with its brilliant white. As the blooms mature, the watercolor shades of lavender on the petal tips may become more pronounced, so that a single plant has blooms ranging from almost pure white to deep lavender-blushed!
'Opus' grows in any sunny, well-drained spot in the garden. It can be direct-sown after the last frost or, for even earlier blooms, begun indoors. Packet is 50 seeds.
