Free-flowering and very disease-resistant, it's the ideal choice for the foundation, hedge, border, or even containers!

Extremely fragrant!
If other Azaleas have struggled in your garden, it's time to discover the sheer carefree joy of Azalea Candy Lights™! Cold-hardy to at least -35 degrees F, it thrives even in severe winter climates, and blooms heavily and SO beautifully each spring! In fact, it also tackles warm climates well, so no matter where you live, you can enjoy the beauty and fragrance of this compact little shrub!

In mid to late spring, Candy Lights™ sets masses of buds in clusters of 8 to 10. They open in dome-shaped bouquets, each more magnificent than the one before it! Pale pink with yellow streaks and washes, they really do resemble pastel-toned old-fashioned candy. Just the decor you're looking for around Easter!

Best of all, these flowers are very fragrant. Usually Azaleas aren't known for their powerful scent, but Candy Lights™ is sweet and rich, announcing itself from across the garden. What a wonderful way to welcome another season of growing to the garden!

Candy Lights™ reaches just 3 to 5 feet high and wide, the perfect size for containers as well as the front of the border or foundation. It's deciduous, which helps protect it from winter damage. And it's terrifically disease-resistant, growing and flourishing with vigor!

Candy Lights™ is part of the Northern Lights™ series of cold-hardy Azaleas developed at the University of Minnesota Arboretum. It was introduced by Dr. Harold Pellett, who bred it from crosses of Rhododendron atlanticum x Rhododendron x kosteranum. Like most other Azaleas, it thrives in full sun in the north, afternoon shade farther south, and needs very little attention to stay happy and healthy for decades. Combine it with other Azaleas as well as with Dogwoods, which favor the same growing conditions. You will love the results! Zones 4-9.
