Crop is held high on the plant for easy harvest!

Crisp, tender beans in just over 2 months!
48 days. Venture is an extra-early Blue Lake type that lets you harvest fine-quality, tender beans in just over 2 months. The best for gradual harvests, you can pick what you want and leave the rest to mature for a bit longer -- they'll remain fresh, crisp, and flavorful to a very large size! The plants are erect and bear stiff stems, holding the crop well off the ground to simplify harvest and eliminate damage from soil contact.

Venture is widely adapted across the U.S. and very easy to grow. It excels in trial gardens everywhere, and is an especially good choice for northern climates, where it demonstrates excellent tolerance of cool soil conditions.

Easy and trouble-free, even for the new gardener, this snap bean is widely adapted across the U.S., and is compact in the garden. For best harvest, succession-plant every 3 weeks or so from early spring till late summer (avoiding the worst summer heat in warm areas). Hardier than pole beans, bush snaps can be direct-sown after all danger of frost. Pkt is 2 ounces (about 100 seeds).

I think this is the best all round bean for the south. It bears early, beating the heat, and doesn't have disease problems. Fairly heavy yields which taste good for canning.
