Begonia Solenia® Dark Pink
Highly resistant to powdery mildew and strong enough to stand up to wind, this is one super-tough Begonia!
The blooms begin in late spring, fully double and measuring about 3 inches wide. Sporting petals of rich deep pink, they are distinctively beautiful. And that's a good thing, because you'll be seeing a lot of them, as spring turns to summer and summer to fall with no decrease in flower power! Yet unlike earlier varieties, which tended to become top-heavy at the height of the season, Solenia® is so well-branched that it never topples or snaps.
Banking the blooms are large, succulent, glossy heart-shaped leaves 2 to 4 inches long. Very dark green, they add dramatic tones to the display, and show off the brightness of the petals very beautifully. They keep this plant handsome even out of bloom!
Solenia® reaches 10 to 12 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide. It looks terrific in the annual bed as well as in containers of all types. And if you like this color, take a look at the other Solenias®: dusty rose and salmon coral.
