Blueberry Tophat
Just right for the front of the border, containers, and even bedding!
Supremely heat-tolerant, 'Tophat' is a cross of a Highbush (Vaccinium corymbosum) and a Lowbush (V. angustifolium). This is the Blueberry to plant where others have melted out in the heat -- yet it is hardy all the way through zone 3. Delightful in big pots on the patio, 'Top Hat' is a miniature garden joy!
Plant in full sun to light shade in acidic, well-drained soil. 'Tophat' is self-fertile, but bigger crops arise if more than one is planted in the same area.
