Chinese Cabbage Kaboko Hybrid Organic
Dense, delicious heads you harvest leaf by leaf for a whole season of great eating!
These upright, heavy heads measure about 16 inches tall and 12 inches in diameter, with good color and crisp hold. The plant itself is just 14 inches high and slightly wider, and makes a fine cool-season crop. But the real surprise is in the eating -- this is by far the sweetest, most flavorful Chinese Cabbage I've ever tasted!
Chinese Cabbage is a cool-season crop typically grown in fall and early winter, though in warmer climates harvest can continue well into winter. Seeds are best direct-sown in rows about 2 feet apart, beginning in late August or early September. As seedlings emerge, thin to 18 inches apart. If the ground freezes before the heads develop, harvest the greens! Pkt is 20 seeds.
