Coleus 'Trailing Plum'
Small, brilliant magenta-purple leaves are occasionally touched with silver -- a unique color combination!
This plant reaches just 10 inches high but trails up to 2 feet long. It tolerates part shade to full sun (best in the north); just increase the amount of water it receives if you plant it in more sun. Both beautiful and versatile, it in the garden as well as containers. And it makes a fabulous houseplant!
Plant in moist soil and keep it moistened throughout the growing season. Coleus grows readily, with its most magnificent display in summer. Insignificant flowerspikes arise in late summer; if you pinch these off, the foliage show may continue well into fall! Try planting among ornamental grasses and flowering annuals.
