Coleus Under the Sea Bone Fish
The Most Compact and Colorful of the Series!
Not only are the Under the Sea™ varieties completely distinctive in looks, they're compact and sun-tolerant, with good leaf substance. This is especially important if you are planting them in a partly sunny area -- Under the Sea™ won't burn or scorch! And they flower only very lightly, so you have less snipping to do at the height of the season!
Bone Fish is one of the most amazing Under the Sea™ varieties, and the most compact. Like the others, it stands about 15 to 18 inches, but is narrower at just 10 to 12 inches wide. The leaflets are long and slender, with multiple finely-cut lobes. Nearly entirely shrimp-pink to light red, the leaves sport bright edges of gold to pale green. Utterly charming and so evocative -- the foliage really does resemble a fish skeleton!
Under the Sea™ was developed by Canadian college students as part of a school project, and a portion of the sales supports their program. If you like Bone Fish, take a look at our other varieties Gold Anemone and Langostino. Better yet, cut right to the chase and get the collection of all 3 varieties! Hardy only in zones 10-11, Coleus is grown as an annual everywhere.
