Coleus Versa Green Halo
The colors intensify as the seasons change!
'Green Halo' offers large, gently serrated leaves of cream with an olive-green margin that increases inward as spring turns to summer. Each leaf is a bit different, so the effect of a large planting is magnificent!
This plant reaches 18 to 20 inches high and spreads up to 24 inches wide. As with all Coleus, it makes a splendid houseplant as well as an outdoor choice, and is adaptable to garden or container. What a great choice for a combination planting -- as the smallest of the Versas, it fits neatly into crowded planters and complements all surrounding colors!
'Green Halo' will eventually flower, but the bloomstalks can be pinched off at once to avoid detracting from the beauty of the foliage. (They make good filler in large bouquets.) Expect it to continue its vigorous, healthy growth all summer and until the first hard frost of fall. Indoors it's lovely year-round, either in bright or indirect light. All this Coleus asks is well-drained soil; it dislikes too much fertilizer, making it even easier to keep up with!
'Green Halo' is only one of the splendid Versa colors. Try changeable 'Burgundy to Green, 'Lime,' and cherry-red 'Watermelon' for further inspiration. Or you could yield to the inevitable and get the mix of all 6! They are ready just 11 weeks from sowing, and you'll start seeing their bright, unusual color combinations from the moment the tiny leaves open! Pkt is 15 pelleted seeds.
