Spicy Scent for the Sunny Garden

This Pink was bred for exceptional fragrance as well as beauty.
PP19660 COPF.

The Scent First™ Pot series of Dianthus are specifically bred for magnificent fragrance, color and form, making them heavenly additions to bouquets and cutflower arrangements. 'Coral Reef' features frilly, feminine blooms that are coral pink with white edging. These blooms produce a strong, spicy scent that is even more noticeable when you cut them!

If you're looking for a brilliantly beautiful groundcover, border, or container plant, look no further than 'Coral Reef'! Dianthus are perfectly suited for rock gardens and exposed hills, preferring well-drained, windswept spots to boggy, stagnant ones.

These easy-to-grow little perennials flaunt their coral-and-white blooms from early spring all the way until fall. Remove spent flowers and fertilize occasionally to encourage the most re-blooming. The playful blooms appear atop compact mounds of succulent, glaucous blue-green foliage up to 18 inches wide and 12 inches tall.

'Coral Reef' is unpalatable to both deer and rabbits, and very low maintenance. Simply plant in a sunny, well drained spot and it will bloom like clockwork, blessing your landscape with gorgeous color and delicious scents! Zones 5 to 9.

I like them and they are pretty when I happen to get one or two blooms. They might be deer resistant but not rabbit resistant. Can't seem to grow them very long before the are chewed to the ground.
