Resistant to deer, squirrels, and other marauding garden pests!

Long-lived and bold in the garden!
Stately, pendulous deep orange flowers topped by a green leaf crown are borne on sturdy 2- to 3-foot stems in midspring. They make an exotic, tropical-looking addition and stand out in the garden among other spring-flowering bulbs and perennials.

Fritillaria like a sunny spot and good, rich soil where they can be left undisturbed for years. Aurora is ideal for naturalizing, very easy to grow, and magnificent in the garden. Its foliage has a slight musky scent that deters squirrels, deer, and other garden pests. Zones 3-8.
