Diamonds are Forever Hosta
Tricolored Leaves of Outstanding Beauty
The perfect little jewel for the shade garden, 'Diamonds are Forever' delights with three beautiful colors on every small leaf. The center is gray -- a very unusual shade for the Hosta family -- while the middle is dark green and the wide edging is crisp white. Absolutely showstopping in container, border, foundation, or woodland garden!
Just 10 inches high but spreading about 2 feet wide, this plant does a good job of covering ground in the shade while remaining low. In late summer, purple blooms dangle above the foliage on 20- to 24-inch stems, but otherwise the plant remains less than a foot high, ideal as ground cover, a foreground planting, or an understory selection for trees and shrubs.
'Diamonds are Forever' may be petite, but it is quite robust. A sport of 'Diamond Tiara,' it shows its pedigree in the clarity of its colors and the profusion of its small, exquisite leaves. The 'Tiara' series is known for its vigor, and 'Diamonds are Forever' is no exception!
Like all Hostas, 'Diamonds are Forever' improves with each passing season, its texture becoming more pronounced and its leaf substance increasing with maturity. Impervious to cold, heat, humidity, and drought once established, it is exceptionally long-lived, and can be divided easily at any time. Thriving in partial to full shade, it is a splendid addition to any landscape. Zones 3-9.
