Jazz up the Dianthus bed with this richly colored, long-blooming Garden Pink! From late spring well into fall, masses of lavender-pink blooms with blue over-tones (each 1/2- to 1-inch across) arise in big clusters on tough, vigorous plants. Branching from the base, these 16-inch-high, 12- to 15-inch-wide plants become incredibly dense, for even more flowers all season long!
Unlike some Garden Pinks, 'Siberian Blues' won't melt out in the heat and humidity of summer. The rounded plants stay neat and compact, their blue-green foliage offering great contrast to the vibrantly colored flowers. It's the perfect companion to pink and red Dianthus varieties!
Best performance in sun and well-drained, gritty soil. 'Siberian Blues' blooms very heavily the first year, then continues from late spring till frost every year that follows. Space plants about 12 inches apart for dense coverage. Zones 3-8.
