Dwarf Bean Hestia
Only 20 inches tall, but so floriferous and productive!
Hestia is just made for containers, with rich foliage and plenty of stunning blooms in mid- and late summer. Just 1/2- to 1-inch across, these dainty blooms are quite showy in large clusters amid handsome foliage. And they arise a bit sooner than other runner beans, giving you at least a week of unexpectedly early color! Dark green beanpods follow the blooms, keeping this hard-working dwarf busy all summer!
Direct-sow this seed when the soil warms in spring, planting in any sunny, well-drained soil. Hestia is not picky about soil type, springing right up with little fuss. Train it up a small obelisk or support, or let it trail over the sides of hanging baskets and windowboxes for a lush cascading effect! Plant 3 seeds per 10- to 12-inch pot for a very full look. Pkt is 15 seeds.
