Burning Bush Fire Ball®
This shrub looks lovely from spring through fall!
Fire Ball® is much better-branched and denser than older varieties, for a solid wall of rich foliage from spring till frost. Just 5 feet high, it is the perfect size for a foundation planting, hedge, barrier, or back-of-the-border standout. And no other shrub compares with the vivid red of this autumn foliage!
This Burning Bush thrives in full sun, and is much more cold-hardy than others. Go ahead and grow it in the northern reaches of zone 4 -- it will leap right back in spring, even from exceptionally rough winters!
In the garden, Fire Ball® is a lovely backdrop to fall-blooming perennials like bright-leaved Variegated Sedum. For a really spectacular show, combine it with Rosy Summersweet, which sports yellow and orange leaves in fall.
Fire Ball® is hardy in zones 4-8.
