Gazania New Day Clear Orange
Wonderfully drought-tolerant!
New Day Clear Orange is actually a tender perennial, hardy in zones 9 and 10, but it's grown as an annual nearly everywhere. Easy to start from seed, it springs right up and takes off, the gray-green foliage offering a handsome, subdued background for those super-bright blooms. This plant is only 8 to 10 inches high and 6 to 8 inches wide, so when it's covered it flowers, all you see is radiant orange!
The daisy-shaped blooms are eye-catching, saturated with rich color, and long-lasting in garden or vase. Such a cheerful shade, they complement silvers, yellows, and reds perfectly, making them a great choice for mixed containers with silver-leaved foliage plants or accent plantings with bright yellow and red zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, and other easy-grow annuals. And they're so compact, you can tuck them into any sunny, well-drained spot that needs a pop of bright color! Have fun with this low-maintenance delight. Pkt is 25 seeds.
