Amazing Value!

So free-flowering that it even blooms in the shade, Sensation is the mix you want for blooms that don't mind a little cloudy, wet weather! The big blooms hold their petals more widely open than most, enabling them to drain off raindrops and other moisture easily, for a neat, fresh look even after a heavy drizzle!

This Floribunda is so free-flowering that you may scarcely glimpse the foliage once bloom time begins! Truly an all-weather Geranium, it is the one to grow in those dappled-shade spots where most Geraniums are not happy. Just 12 to 14 inches high, the robust plant is awash in salmon blush blooms over a long season!

Easy to start from seed indoors in late winter or outdoors in early spring, it blooms all summer and can be wintered over indoors. Position in full sun and well-drained soil.

Seed packets are overpacked by as much as 20%. Packet is normally 5 seeds.

I don't have a lot of full sun areas in my yard, so most geraniums aren't happy with me. The Sensation series is wonderful for me because it blooms in the dappled sun areas that I have, including on my partly shaded deck along with my impatiens! The flower heads are looser and not as formal as other geraniums, so some people might not like that, but I prefer the less formal look, which blends with my rather casual "cottage garden" style. I use Sensation geraniums only in containers, since again the looser flower and the plant form works well in containers and mixes well with other plants. The drawback seems to be that growers have a hard time getting it to produce enough seed to promote, especially to offer a range of colors. Thanks to Park Seed for making some colors available! Last year I had rose, so this year will try blush. Cherry Sensation is gorgeous, so hope that color will be available again some time.
