Lisianthus Cinderella Yellow
A bouquet on every stem!
A soft, buttery yellow, these 3-inch blooms have twice the petal count of single-flowered Lizzies, plus an excellent symmetrical form that makes them breathtaking in garden or vase. And the plants are much easier to grow and harvest than other varieties, because they branch at the top of the stems, giving you a bouquet with every snip (and also keeping the bottom of the plant open and airy, which is healthier for it, especially in hot, humid climates).
I always think of Lisianthus as the master of disguise in my garden, because its buds look exactly like Roses, its newly-opened blossoms like Tulips, and the older flowers like Poppies! A superb cutflower, it keeps its form and shape nicely, lasting more than a week in the vase. And in the garden, you will find that Cinderella treats you to encore after encore as the season winds down. I love plants that liven up instead of dying down at the end of the season!
This plant reaches 18 to 22 inches high and about 10 inches wide. It thrives in any good garden soil, and will delight you over a long summer season. Cinderella Yellow is my favorite color in this series, but there are 3 others you should grow alongside it for terrific combinations: Blue, Ivory, and (Pink! Enjoy! Pkt is 25 seeds.
