The blooms appear at the end of dark green to black stems, very bright and prepared to last 3 to 4 weeks on the plant or over a week when cut. They attract butterflies and bees, and are visible from way down the street, so intense is their color. Stunning!
This perennial asks only for plenty of sunshine and good, well-drained soil. Expect it to thrive and bloom heavily for years to come! Zones 5-8.
