Among the fanciest of the broad-petalled French Marigolds, Aurora Goldhas big, fully double blooms of glowing golden that completely cover neat plants all season long! Early and compact, they bloom heavily and steadily, starting just 48 days from sowing (that's 2 weeks sooner than Sophia!). The flowers stretch 2 1/2 to 3 inches across, crowning these neat 10- to 12-inch mounds in fiery color until well into fall.
Very free-blooming, these plants don't mind heat and bad weather. They keep their neat shape all season, making them a great choice for formal plantings, the front of the border, and containers. Superb for edging, they are even effective in vegetable gardens, where they repel nematodes naturally. And where Marigolds go, butterflies follow!
