Ornamental Kale Glamour Red
Great for spring and fall in all climates, and right through winter in warmer areas.
These tightly-packed heads reach 10 to 12 inches wide, with a very large red center. The color begins to show when night temperatures have remained below 55 degrees F for two weeks or more, and continues over a long season. These leaves are not coated with the heavy waxy consistency of most ornamental Kale, so the colors shine more brightly.
Glamour Red reaches about 12 inches high and 14 inches wide, with a groundhugging habit that shows to beautiful advantage in garden or container. Start the seeds about 90 days before you expect the temperatures to dip below 55 degrees F at night, and set them out when the weather is cool.
