Peek-a-Blue Russian Sage
The Most Compact Yet!
The most compact Russian Sage yet, Peek-a-Blue is ideal for those smaller spaces where you need long-lasting, easy-care color. This dwarf Perovskia occupies very little garden real estate, yet makes a big impression with silvery foliage and exquisite lavender-blue blooms.
Peek-a-Blue is just about 2 feet high and wide, with masses of soft lavender flowers that begin in midsummer and continue right into fall. The blooms arise above glinting silver-green foliage, dense and bushy, that adds interest to the plant from spring until frost. And even if severe winter weather makes this plant die back, it will re-emerge in spring, stronger than ever!
Combine this Russian Sage with all your flowering annuals, from Coneflower to Daylily. It makes a nice foreground planting to Roses, hiding their bare thorny "legs." You can never have too many sources of blue in the sunny garden. Add Peek-a-Blue to the display this season! Zones 4-9.
