They stack for easy storage!

These durable, re-usable green plastic trays havesteep, tall sides for development of good root systems.
These are the sturdy, washable, endlessly re-usable seed starting trays professional growers use for healthy seedlings every time! Large enough to begin many dozen seedlings each or to hold 24 round Jiffy-Pots, these Perma-Nest Trays never rot or rust. Best of all, they are steep-sided, so you can give your seedlings a chance to develop a good, healthy root system before transplanting!

Constructed of light green plastic and easy to clean, these trays stack for storage. Use them for germinating seeds, rooting cuttings, and starting bulbs. The price is right, too! (If you would like a more compact size, take a look at Perma-Nest Tray; for one even smaller -- perfect for setting on the windowsill -- see Perma-Nest Tray.

Great Trays

I've used several sizes of these trays for at least 8 years - never broke one and am about to buy a few more because I'm enlarging my garden so have more seeds to start.
I love these trays
Susan from IA wrote (March 28, 2012):
They are more expensive, but sturdier so they last longer and don't crack and leak like the lightweight ones. I disagree with the other review; they only break if you drop them and they do fit standard inserts. I like to put one of the trays with drain holes in these solid trays and then the inserts with the cells in them so there is some room for drainage between the two trays.
Not a great buy...

Doesn't fit other seed inserts; breaks easily; when stacked they stick together.
