Petunia Horizon Yellow
Rainproof and long-blooming, this petunia is the one you've been looking for!
Horizon Yellow reaches about 12 inches high and 12 to 15 inches wide. As a multiflora, technically it's a trailing type, but this plant is actually more bushy, which means you can plant it in the annual bed without it flopping. Of course, it looks amazing in flowerpots and windowboxes as well, its 2 1/2- to 3-inch blooms crowding one another for position. Don't fall in love with the soft green foliage, because you won't be seeing much of it once Horizon Yellow begins its long, long season of bloom!
If you've grown petunias before, you know that on overcast or rainy days, the flowers (sensibly) remain shut. Their petals are somewhat fragile, and they take a while to recover from wet conditions. Well, Horizon Yellow doesn't seem to have any sense where the weather is concerned -- and that's all the better for you! Its blooms stay wide open during rain and seem to shake it off, never sulking or drooping. This is a petunia with an "all blooms, all the time" attitude! What could be more delightful for garden and container? Pkt is 50 seeds.
