A splendid new groundcover Phlox that blooms in waves from late spring through early fall, Promise® sets big clusters of double and semi-double blooms atop compact, tightly mounded plants that look attractive even when not in bloom and do wonders for preventing soil erosion on slopes, covering difficult garden spots, and filling in bare spaces in any sunny to partly shaded area.
Promise® Rose offers soft, rich color, very eye-catching and a good companion to Promise White. The blooms arise above springy, dense foliage that tolerates a bit of foot traffic and always looks its best, even in high heat and humidity. This plant is so vigorous and attractive that it won a Fleuroselect Award, Europe's highest honor for a seed variety.
Promise® is an excellent choice for cutflowers as well, the 1-inch clusters making perfect nosegays. A native American plant, it blooms in waves month after month, with very little attention from you. Give it morning sun and a bit of afternoon shade in most climates, full sun in the far north. And be sure to consider the third Promise® color as well, soft Peach. Pkt is 20 seeds.
