Plectranthus 'Silver Shield'
Takes off like a shot, but is never invasive!
Native to Australia, 'Silver Shield'rapidly forms a dense plant 24 to 30 inches high and wide, with big 4-inch leaves of gray-green covered with a silvery sheen resembling frost. The perfect complement to all your flowering plants (especially pink, white, and purple tones), 'Silver Shield' is equally suited for the garden or for large containers, where it makes a fine background to trailing Petunias, colorful Coleus, and just about anything else you fancy!
Very tolerant of heat, humidity, and other stresses, 'Silver Shield'can be sown indoors (do not cover the seeds) and transplanted just 4 to 6 weeks later. It grows so vigorously that by early summer, you will have a full-sized plant from a late-winter sowing. And it needs no pinching! Give it any well-drained, moist garden soil or potting mix and let it radiate cool color for months! Pkt is 10 seeds.
