Pot Marigold Mandarin Twist
Compact yet very free-flowering.
Calendula is so useful in the garden and the vase. You will find these flowers just indispensible in indoor arrangements, yet the plant is too charming to be relegated to the cutting garden. Instead, set a generous planting in the rear of the sunny to partly-shaded bed or border and pick all the blooms you want over the super-long two-season bloomtime! And, of course, it's a big pest-fighter in the vegetable garden, so dress up the greens with some hot color!
One of the few annuals that makes the summer-to-fall leap without losing petal power, this Calendula is a lovely companion to cool-season Asters. It doesn't mind a little shade in warm climates, but blazes best in full sun farther north. Expect it to reach just 10 inches high and 6 to 8 inches wide. Pkt is 50 seeds.
