Terrific heat tolerance!

Dark green color packs in the vitamins!
56 days. Get an extra dose of vitamins with every bite of this delicious snap bean! Festina is far and away the most nutritious snap ever grown, as its dark green pods show. Ideal for canning or fresh eating, this upright plant regales you with crisp, tender-sweet pods in less than 2 months' time!

Older Blue Lake bush varieties have difficulty setting pods when the temperature warms up, but Festina is perfect for hot, sultry climates where spring is over before you know it. Resistant to CBM Virus, this vigorous, bushy little plant sets nice straight pods about 6 inches long and full of rich flavor and nutrition. Why waste your time with less healthy varieties?

Direct-sow these seeds in warm spring soil receiving full sun, and keep watered during growth. In early summer you will be rewarded by armfuls of delicious eating! Pkt is 2 ounces (about 150 seeds).

Best green bean ever!
Julie B from WV wrote (August 20, 2011):
This is the third year I have grown this variety and I've never been disappointed. Pick a handful of beans from one stem. Always tender, straight, dark green, and not a blemish. I won the blue ribbon at this year's state fair in the bush green bean category. I will never plant any other kind!
Love Festina beans!
