Bean Soleil
Small, straight, scrumptious beans!
The 4-inch pods are thin, very straight (good for canning!), and petite. They arise all at once in HUGE numbers on the compact (2-foot-tall, 1-foot-wide) plant, so you can harvest in one fell swoop or several large loads, rather than plucking a handful each day. If you pickle or can your beans, Soleil was made for you!
However, that's not to say it isn't a great bean for eating fresh, too. In fact, I defy you to put up ALL the beans in your harvest -- they're just too yummy not to reserve a big potful for right away!
Ready in early to midsummer, just about 2 months after sowing, Soleil is a bean that looks as good as it tastes, grows like a charm, and bears huge yields. Try it this season and I predict it will take the place of honor in your vegetable garden next year! Pkt is 1 oz (approximately 200 seeds).
