The roots are smooth, round, and glossy, with a dark red sheen that hints at the rich flavor within. Extremely high sugar content makes Red Cloud one of the most flavorful beets you can find and the improved top strength makes it easy to harvest and very robust in the garden!
Beets are a cool-weather crop, direct-sown in fall or as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Before planting, make sure that the soil is as loose, rich, and well-drained as possible, so that the root can grow without stress. Pkt is 200 seeds, which sows 10 feet of row.
