Not fussy about growing conditions -- just give it a stake for its huge yields!

This AAS Winner is tops is taste, size, yield, and culture!
60 days. If there is a better English Pea anywhere than Mr. Big, we have yet to hear of it! This AAS winner is simply tops, with larger-than-life flavor, size, and yields! It's easy to grow and superbly disease resistant. What more can a pea offer?

These plump, easy-to-shell pods reach 4 to 4 1/2 inches long, crammed with fat peas (about 8 per pod) boasting a rich, sugary flavor. They arise early on indeterminate plants that show great resistance to Race 1 Wilt and Powdery Mildew. And the pods stay colorful and firm on the plant, even if it takes you a bit longer than usual to harvest them!

Mr. Big is not fussy about growing conditions, but you will have to stake it. With yields like this, it needs some support!

Easy to grow, peas love cold weather, so plant as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Direct-sow 1 to 2 inches apart and 1 to 1 1/2 inches deep. Peas are also ideal as a fall crop started in late summer. To conserve space and simplify harvesting, sow in double rows with a trellis between rows. Pkt is 2 ounces (160 seeds).
