Raspberry Jewel
Sparse seeds make the berries great for fresh eating, and they also freeze and can well.
The plant reaches about 4 feet high and just 2 feet wide. Very long-lived, it likes plenty of water (especially the first season) and sunshine. It begins bearing in early summer and continues right into fall in most climates, so just about any time you go in the garden in search of berries, ripe ones will be waiting for you!
The fruit is just 1/2-inch in diameter, packed with flavor and juice. It's great for fresh eating, but also holds up well if frozen, and is ideal for canning. You just can't go wrong with Jewel! Zones 3-8.
