Red Satin Coreopsis
Reblooms Even in the Hottest Summer Weather!
Introducing the first member of the new Permathread™ series, selected for its reblooming flowers that tolerate even the strongest summer sun; its tightly mounded habit; and its lush dark green foliage. Red Satin Coreopsis sets a whole new standard of performance for the family!
Masses of 1½-inch ruby-red blooms with bright gold centers top the upright, needle-thin leaves of this native perennial all summer long, then repeat until frost if the first wave of blooms is cut back promptly. Standing 15 to 18 inches high and 18 to 22 inches wide, this is a fairly compact plant by Coreopsis standards, and the bloom power is just incredible!
Excellent as cutflowers, the bright blooms attract attract butterflies in the garden, while the plant itself is left alone by nibbling deer and withstands stress from heat and drought to humidity and poor soil.
Selected by Darrell Probst, this sterile variety channels all its energy into producing more flowers, month after month! You'll love its carefree nature and its over-the-top garden vigor. Zones 5-9.
