Savannah Society Combination Annual Plants
Great for hot, humid, thirsty climates!
Savannah Society combines tall, stately Melinis Savannah (a super-easy ornamental grass) with lush Celosia Arrabona (a Wheat Celosia with fat plumes of fiery red) and Vinca Cora® Cascade® Strawberry (a long-blooming trailing plant). The possibilities are endless in the sunny garden and container!
Here is more information about each variety in this collection:
Melinis Savannah - This ornamental grass sets powderpuff plumes atop long, slender stems. Expect it to reach 6 to 12 inches tall and anywhere from 9 to 12 inches wide, with blooms that turn from dark rose to pink to creamy tan.
Arrabona Celosia - Giant flames of orange-red remain for weeks on this lush, well-branched Cockscomb just 10 to 14 inches high and wide. They stand out even from a distance on very easy-to-grow plants with dark green foliage.
Cora® Cascade™ Strawberry Vinca - This revolutionary trailing plant is just 6 to 8 inches high, but tumbles up to 3 feet long from baskets and flowerpots. Single, wide-open daisies vary from deep pink to pale shell pink, with a darker red eye. Very tough, this plant is never out of bloom over its extra-long season!
