Heat tolerant, deer resistant, and super-easy!

Great for hot, dry garden spots, as edging, and in containers!
Beginning gardeners, take note! Here's a super-easy annual that blooms all summer long in garden or pot, needs little attention from you, and stands up to everything from heat and drought to nibbling rabbits and deer! Angelonia SerenitaSerenita™ is a compact Angelonia available as easy-sow pelleted seed. A few years ago not a single Angelonia was available to home gardeners from seed, and now we have this terrific variety that fits perfectly into flowerpots and tubs as well as the sunny garden bed! Angelonia is called Summer Snapdragon because its long, straight flower stems are covered in big buds that open from the bottom up, like a snapdragon. It blooms all summer long, attracting butterflies, and makes a nice cut-flower, too. Such a simple, long-lasting, hardworking presence in garden or container!

Serenita™ reaches just 10 to 12 inches high and not quite as wide, so it fits into smaller pots and garden spaces than ever before. You never have to stake it to get the flower-filled stalks to stand up straight and tall, and you don't have to pinch or remove the flowers as they pass. Nature does it all for us!

This Angelonia thrives in normal garden or potting soil, and doesn't mind if it dries out a bit between waterings. This is good news for busy folks like us who don't always water as regularly as we should during those baking-hot summer days! Serenita™ also tends to be left alone by nibbling rabbits and deer at night, so you can plant it in open areas without worry.

Use Serenita™ in containers, in garden beds, as edging, and even as ground cover. The ½- to ¾-inch blooms crowd along the stem, new ones arising to replace the old all season long, for a terrific color show! Few plants are easier or more beautiful than this award winner!

Sow these pelleted seeds indoors at about 74 degrees F. They'll sprout in less than a week, at which time you can grow them on at any soil temperature between 68 and 80 degrees F. Transplant into the sunny garden when they have at least 2 sets of true leaves and all danger of frost is past. They bloom 13 to 14 weeks from sowing. Pkt is 10 pelleted seeds.
