Squash Summer Medley Hybrid Blend
You get 2 zucchinis, a straightneck, and a Mediterranean type!
All 4 varieties arise on compact plants, so you can harvest your entire crop ina small space and still come away with very heavy yields. Here's what you get:
A dark green zucchini, with rich, succulent flavor and very heavy yields;
A golden zucchini, about the same size as the green, with a milder, lighter flavor and creamy consistency;
A pale yellow straightneck, the first to mature on open, upright plants that make harvest easier;
An olive-green Mediterranean squash, flecked with gold, that bears substantial yields over a very long season.
An unbeatable value and a great way to branch out a bit in your summer squash crop!
Summer squash ripens during the hot summer months and, thin-skinned, is best eaten fresh. Sow seeds 1 inch deep directly into the garden after the danger of frost is past. Thin the seedlings to 24 inches apart, or plant several seeds in hills 4 feet apart and then thin to 2 plants per hill. (For even earlier harvests, start seeds indoors.) Pick when the fruits are still small (4 to 8 inches long). Pkt is 20 seeds.
