These 3- to 4-inch blooms arise on tall, well-branched plants. They have a large chocolate-brown central cone and closely spaced deep red petals tipped in bright yellow-gold. Equally suited for garden and cutting, they make a lovely contrast to yellow- and gold-petaled Sunflowers.
This plant reaches 5 feet tall and about 2 to 3 feet wide. Very floriferous, it is a splendid sight in the back of the sunny border or bed, its blooms welcoming summer into the garden. Pkt is 25 seeds.
