This June-bearer is an Incredible Value!

Large, succulent berries are great fresh or frozen!
If you love canning, freezing, or juicing strawberries, this is the value packet you MUST have for the garden! Containing 50 June-bearing plants grown to perfection and ready to take off in your best containers and garden beds, our Super Strawberry Bundle guarantees you a huge early-summer harvest for several years to come!

With this amazing value, you'll grow the biggest, most delectable berries yet! We've selected a super-dependable, disease-resistant, vigorous June-bearing variety, adaptable to all areas of the country and a heavy producer. Get those jam jars ready!

Unlike varieties that set small amounts of strawberries intermittently over a long summer season, June-bearers produce the majority of their crop all at once -- perfect for canning, juicing, and freezing. Now, that's not to say these berries aren't delicious fresh from the plant, too! You'll have many a nibble at canning time, and perhaps a few strawberry pies and shortcakes along the way! Good thing this berry is such a heavy bearer, or there would be no berries left to turn into preserves and syrup!

These plants set runners, and will return for several seasons if the runners are allowed to root in the soil. A "self-pollinating" variety, this berry (the variety is Allstar, developed by the USDA and a classic favorite) needs no other strawberry near it to set fruit. Couldn't be easier if it tried!

These plants demonstrate excellent resistance to red stele and verticillium wilt, two diseases that can play havoc with other strawberry varieties. They also have good resistance to powdery mildew and leaf scorch. Just give these widely adapted plants loose, rich soil and full sunshine. They thrive in growin' bags and strawberry jars as well as the garden bed.

Expect the plants to reach about a foot high when topped by small white blooms in spring, and to spread by runners a foot or more wide. When planting them, space the plants just 6 inches apart. They'll fill in beautifully! Bundle of 50 plants. Zones 4-8.

Flourishing strawberries
from wrote (June 10, 2013):
When my strawberry plants arrived, they looked desert-dry and dead. I was amazed at how quickly they perked up when planted. They are growing amazingly quick and seem to be flourishing.
