Trovita Orange Tree
Sets Fruit without Long Hot Days!
In its zone 9-10 hardiness range, Trovita grows happily to 20 or 25 feet high, with a rounded shape and excellent branching. But if you live in a cooler climate, now you can still grow this unique orange. Just pot up the dwarf tree and either enjoy it outdoors during the warmer months or bring it indoors permanently. Either way, it loves full sunshine and consistent moisture. Find a bright window or skylight and begin enjoying this evergreen tree!
Trovita fruits and flowers in early spring, so you often have fragrant white blooms (the scent is absolutely fantastic!) as well as fruit maturing at once. It's such a splendid way to begin another season of growth: with an indoor flowering garden delight!
Expect this tree to reach 7 to 10 feet tall and as wide in the rounded canopy of branches and leaves. The foliage is glossy, evergreen, and quite dense, a rich dark green that is attractive all by itself. Be sure to keep the tree in sun at all times; it is not shade-tolerant. And if you live in a coastal area, do not put it outdoors in the direct line of ocean spray; it does not like salt. Other than this, however, it is quite trouble-free, growing readily in good potting soil with consistent moisture. What could be easier or more delightful? Zones 9-10 or everywhere indoors.
