Description

Huge yields on easy-pick plants

Days to Maturity: 65

The heaviest-bearing eggplant is also the most delicious. Amadeo is renowned for its huge yields of succulent, nutty, bitterfree fruit on spineless plants. Easy to pick and irresistible on the tongue, this is the eggplant you need for the veggie patch.

Amadeo is a spineless plant reaching about 3 feet high, well-branched and vigorous. You will probably need to support it once it begins bearing the heavy 5-inch-wide, 8-inch-long dark purple to black eggplants—the bounty is simply too great for this compact plant to hold up alone.

The fruit is nutty and tender, with a rich flavor that is never bitter. The highest-quality eating eggplant we have ever grown, Amadeo is simply delicious.

These are uniform, oval fruits. Enjoy bumper crops every year with Amadeo.

EXCELLENT!

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I grew this eggplant for the first time last year, starting seed under grow lights in my basement. Everything they say about it is true! HUGE yields on sturdy, disease resistant plants, in spite of an extra hot & dry summer! No bitterness in these, either. There was enough to eat fresh and put lots of roasted eggplant in the freezer for lasagna, baba ganoush & soups. I will never grow Black Beauty or any another variety!

Everything you would want

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I may have grown these and transplanted too late in summer (zone 9, hot and dry) but what I did get was a huge, sturdy, vigorous, disease and pest resistant plant that was a good producter even till November. Beautiful black eggplant that was delicious. You will be rewarded in September/October . Growing from seed takes a little more effort than purchasing plants at local nurseries but this variety of eggplant surpassed my expectations. Needs steady watering and good fertilizer.

The best eggplant ever.

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

This eggplant is the best we have ever grown. Last year I forgot to start these beauties and had to purchase Black Beauty eggplants. Compared to Amedeo, other eggplants are bitter, tough skinned and the flavor is acceptable. Amadeo is bursting with flavor and not bitter. Forget salting and draining these. Their flavor is incredible.

Best Egg Plant

Be ready for lots of great tasting fruit. This one produces several per plant. If you plant two or more, you will need lots of friends to share with.
