Why wait for the 4th of July for this delightful combination of bold and bright annual plants? The blooms certainly won't stand on ceremony -- they'll begin in late spring and keep going all summer and into fall in most climates! And with red, white, and blue color as beautiful as this, who needs fireworks?

In this combo you receive Hot® Waterblue Lobelia, Potunia® Yellow Petunia, and Empress Flair Dark Red Verbena. Arrange them in your flowerpots, windowboxes, or sunny annual bed just as you like for the best mix of colors and textures. All love plenty of sunshine, water, and regular feeding. Given this, they will bloom tirelessly until nipped back by the cold weather of autumn.

These varieties make good companions not only for their all-American colors, but for the differences in their flowers' sizes and textures. The Lobelia offers small, intensely colored blooms, that true-blue shade almost impossible to find in the garden, starred with a white eye. The Petunia is a near-white shade of primrose, so luminous in late afternoon and twilight. Its flowers are large and held wide-open. And the Verbena strikes the balance between the two, with florets arranged in ball-shaped bouquets among dark green, fresh foliage.

The plants also vary in habit, just enough to keep things interesting. The Lobelia (among the most heat-tolerant of all, by the way -- if you've grown older Lobelias, wait until you see the difference Hot® Waterblue makes in the sweltering August garden!) is a trailing plant 6 inches high and 18 inches long, ideal for tall planters, tubs, baskets, and windowboxes. The Petunia has a rounded habit about 10 to 12 inches high and 12 inches wide, simply packed with big blooms. And the Verbena is semi-upright, 6 to 10 inches high, with extra-large flowerheads.

And the plants are already growing together to create the perfect combo. Each 4-inch pot contains 1 of all 3 varieties, creating a "pre-mixed" combination of colors and forms you will love. You only need 1 pot per 6-inch flowerpot. Use 2 pots for an 8- to 10-inch pot or basket, and all 3 for a 12-inch or larger container. Pack of three 4-inch pots (9 plants in all).
