Every garden deserves this tireless Coreopsis, a beautiful presence in the sunny border, container, edging, foundation, sidewalk planting, and meadow garden. Two-tone daisies change colors with the seasons, and simply never tire of blanketing the area with bright, inviting color!

Autumn Blush is as free-flowering as any annual, beginning in late spring and going through summer and even into fall. The flowers are 2 inches wide, with yellow petals tinged with peachy pink around a large orange eye. They arise by the hundred, and if you can bring yourself to shear the whole plant back after the first huge wave of blooms (about midsummer), it will return with even more buds and flowering stems for its late-season show!

When the temperature falls, the yellow tones on these petals turn peachy, while the peachy-pink accents acquire more red and rose tones. It's particularly beautiful to see a fully blooming Autumn Blush just as the season is changing, when all colors are present on the blooms!

This is a selection of our native American wildflower, so you can imagine how easy and adaptable Autumn Blush is to different garden conditions and weather events. Extreme heat and humidity are no issue; drought and dry soil are taken in stride; even severe winters and poorly fertile soils present no problems. This plant reaches about 26 inches high and 32 inches wide, with excellent branching and a love of nonstop sunshine. So easy, it's a must-have for beginning gardeners and an unexpected treat for seasoned pros!

Butterflies and other pollinators worship at the center of these blooms, and deer leave the plants alone, making Autumn Blush a great choice for meadow gardens and other open settings. Do make this lovely Tickseed part of your landscape this season! Zones 4-9.
