Every shade of pink, blue, or both decorates these large white blooms, which unfurl like old-fashioned parasols all over strong climbing vines! Carnival™ is a joyful new look in Morning Glory, and one that can't help but bring a smile to the face of any gardener lucky enough to grow it!
Every bloom is uniquely patterned on this vigorous plant, for a dazzling effect on the trellis or spilling over the sides of containers. Expect this vine to reach 6½ feet long, flowering heavily from midsummer to frost in full sunshine and any well-drained soil. Carnival™ is as carefree as its name suggests, and the perfect wake-up call every garden needs!
Named for its tendency to open its flowers during the morning hours, Morning Glory is easy to direct-sow into the sunny garden or container. Soak the seed the night before to loosen its hard shell, then cover it without about ¼-inch of soil and let it sprout over the course of up to 3 weeks. Once it's up, it's off and running! Very long-blooming and easy to grow, it belongs in every garden! Enjoy its old-fashioned beauty and great abundance of blooms. Pkt is 20 seeds.
Ipomoea leptophylla, Bush Morning Glory, grows 3 feet tall and has 3 inch flowers that open a rosy purple and mature a deep purple. It works well nestled in borders. Ipomoea nil, I. purpurea, and I. tricolor are 8-10 foot long, climbing vines to be grown on a structure: trellis, fence, or arbor. The showy single or double flowers come in colors of blue, purple, pink, red, or white and are either solid, striped, or bicolor. For the duration of the summer (July through frost), the above species’ flowers open in the early morning and fade by the afternoon. The leaves are all green and heart shaped

Park Seed has been handling and packing vegetable and flower seeds for 145 years, a history that has given us a great understanding of how each variety should be cared for and maintained throughout every step of theprocess, from collection to shipping.
When packing our seeds, the majority are actually done by hand (with extreme care!), and we often over-pack them, so you're receiving more than the stated quantity.
The Park Seed Gold Standard
Heirloom Seeds are open-pollinated -- they are not hybrids. You can gather and save heirloom seed from year to year and they will grow true to type every year, so they can be passed down through generations. To be considered an heirloom, a variety would have to be at least from the 1940's and 3 generations old (many varieties are much older -- some 100 years or more!).
Hybrid seed are the product of cross-pollination between 2 different parent plants, resulting in a new plant/seed that is different from the parents. Unlike Heirloom seed, hybrid seed need to be re-purchased new every year (and not saved). They usually will not grow true to type if you save them, but will revert to one of the parents they were crossed with and most likely look/taste different in some way.
