A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Cestrum Juiced™ Orange Jessamine is a compact evergreen (above Zone 7) shrub offering year-round interest, blooming from spring through summer, often to first frost. Citrus hued, fragrant clusters of slender, tubular flowers bloom in abundance and sustain bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. This tropical, South American native shrub has a superior bushy habit of dark, glossy foliage.
Jessamine makes a gorgeous specimen, container, and garden plant, especially nice massed or grouped in beds and borders.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, jessamine grows best in sunny to partly sunny locations. Juiced Orange is heat tolerant and deer resistant. In USDA Zones 7(6b)-9 (-0°F/-18°C), it will die back like a buddleia but will re-grow from the roots and still flower. In colder climates, it can be grown as a patio plant and overwintered in a sunroom.
