Cora® XDR Deep Strawberry Vinca is an evergreen tender perennial, usually grown as an annual, that blooms throughout the season, from late spring often until first frost. Highly floriferous, the plant blankets its foliage in large, showy pink flowers with a deep rose center. The flowers attract butterflies.
Cora XDR is a Catharanthus roseus cultivar, commonly called vinca, periwinkle, or Madagascar periwinkle. The plant has improved branching and uniformity; an upright, mounding, spreading habit; and a rapid growth rate. Vinca is a great ground cover and container plant.
Tough, easy to grow, and low maintenance, vinca grows best in a sunny or dappled to part shade location with moist, well-draining soil, having an acidic pH around 6.0. But it tolerates a range of soils. The plants do not need pinching or deadheading. Drought tolerant and deer, rabbit, and disease resistant.
