Description

Disease resistant | Great for snacks, recipes, and salads

Days to Maturity: 55

Similar to our Gateway Hybrid Cucumber, but with amazing disease resistance. Disease resistant to downy mildew and other diseases. This long shaped cucumber has a beautiful dark green color. It holds well on vigorous, well-adapted plants. Great for snacks, recipes, and salads. It's a part of a whole new generation of delicious, super-strong slicers.

Cucumber Park's Whopper disease resistance package is unbeatable. It is highly resistant to target leaf spot, angular leaf spot, scab, anthracnose, and zucchini yellow mosaic virus. It offers intermediate resistance to powdery mildew, downy mildew, and papaya ring spot virus. Best of all, its intermediate resistance to downy mildew is the absolute best on the market. You will be successful every time with Park's Whopper II Hybrid Cucumber Seeds.

Direct sow the seeds in a sunny spot in the garden or in containers after all danger of frost is past. For an earlier crop, you can also begin the seeds indoors, transplanting when the first true leaf appears. Cucumbers can be allowed to grow on the ground or loll over the sides of containers, but for longer, straighter fruit with better support, grow the plant in a cage or on a trellis, allowing 1 foot between plants in the garden, or one plant per container.

Resists: ALS/ANTH//PM/S/TLS

Cucumber King

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I have planted the Whopper cucumber (I and II) since its introduction. I have not had one seed that did not germinate. Quantity, size, and quality are unmatched. They come up in April, produce in May and last until September. I have produced 3 pounders that taste as great as 1 pounders. I've never had a bitter one. All of this, on a 10 ft. by 8 ft high trellis, with 5 plants. I produce over 300 cucumbers every year. I love this cucumber!

PARKS WHOPPER 2 HYBRID

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Every seed germinates. I have planted the original Whopper when it first came out. I'm delighted the Whopper has returned. Hugh, bitter free fruit with high disease resistance, plant longevity and high yields. The cucumbers are highly sought after by friends and co-workers from spring to fall.
