Plant Dahlia 'Go Go Two Tone' in early spring, and in summer to late fall, typically to first frost, it blooms in masses of 4- to 6-inch blooms in various shades of pink and purple. A Decorative, Dinnerplate Dahlia, it is a compact plant with large double blooms. Borne on long, exceptionally strong stems (that require no staking), the upright, chrysanthemum-like blooms attract butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden and make excellent cut flowers. And the more you cut, the more they bloom.
A Dahlia hybrid, commonly called dahlia, 'Go Go Two Tone' is a bushy, clump-forming perennial with an upright, well-branched habit. It's a great container and garden plant, nice in beds and the middle of the border. 'Go Go Two Tone' makes a stunning specimen but is shown to best effect when massed or grouped.
Very easy to grow, dahlia grows best in sunny locations with fertile, humus-rich, well-draining soil, protected from strong winds. The plant tolerates clay, loam, and sandy soils with a neutral, acidic, or alkaline pH. During the growing season, dahlia should be kept consistently moist and never allowed to dry out. Deadheading spent flowers promotes additional blooms. 'Go Go Two Tone' requires no pinching. This plant is not pet friendly.
