Prolific, pulchritudinous, pest-free

Lots and lots of little eggplants clustered on attractive compact plants. Even the blossoms are lovely. I sure the bugs had killed one of my seedlings, but it grew back from the roots and I have had no other bug problems. Growing this again!

Delicious mini eggplants on container-friendly plants
Windowsill Gardener from NJ wrote on June 16, 2018

Fairy tale eggplants are delicious, with flesh that becomes very creamy when roasted or sauteed. And the skins are so tender that I never peel them. I started these indoors in February and got a 100% germination rate. I now have two plants in containers on a sunny windowsill as an experiment to see if I can grow eggplants indoors. To my surprise, I've already harvested eggplants twice! I know this variety can be even more prolific when grown outdoors.

Beautiful, Bountiful, and Great Tasting

Grew this for the first time this year. It's just my husband and I and I didn't want to grow big eggplants. I direct sowed in May (very late) here in South Texas (a mistake) and thought the sowing was a dud. In July I had to go out of state for two months. The guy I hired to take care of my garden didn't water the vegetables and we had a bad drought! Imagine my suprise when I came home to find one of the few survivors in my vegetable garden was this beautiful eggplant. It has been producing right along. It's October 30th and I have 17 eggplants on one plant! I will definitely buy again.
